The Strengthbae Competition Collar is a weighted barbell collar designed for powerlifting and Olympic weightlifting. Its robust steel construction and threaded locking system ensure weight plates remain securely in place during squats, bench presses, deadlifts, cleans, and snatches. Each collar weighs 2.5 kg; using a pair adds a total of 5 kg to the barbell. This weight should be factored in when calculating the total training load. Unlike clip-style collars, this product utilizes a threaded locking mechanism. The threaded component drives a semi-circular pressure plate inside the collar, preventing the screw tip from making direct contact with the barbell sleeve. A star-shaped tightening knob helps secure the plate stack and minimize gaps. Available in IWF Style and IPF Style options. Heavy Steel Material

Unlike standard collars, these are not made of plastic. Each collar weighs 2.5 kg; using a pair—one on the left and one on the right—adds 5 kg of weight to the barbell, whereas ordinary collars are considered weightless.
